I love how Mia is working out. Seriously, when the story and the character click into place, there’s no other feeling like it. Three chapters down and about 13K words. Not bad for two weeks. Not the best but still...I like how it’s playing out. Mia is my first--and possibly my only SF story I’ll ever write--but I’m having fun with it. That counts for something, right? And this character has lots of attitude. Unlike me, she’s not shy about sharing her thoughts or opinions.
I did waste the last two mornings roaming through Itunes, collecting music for my slipstream (alternate universe?) story. Why yes, I have characters lining up now for attention. Funny how that works?
